I am a writer who will finish a job next Friday, and I will have nothing but time on my hands for the foreseeable future.  I have the time and the will to work with a volunteer organization in the Gulf Coast region.  Unfortunantly, I still have to pay rent.
I would like to set up a system through which people could make donations to help Gulf Coast volunteers pay essential bills (rent, etc) while they are volunteering thier time.  I would like your help in developing infastructure to make this work.
